Six Thinking Hats

WALT: Use de Bono Thinking Hats to show understanding.
3 classes from Waikowhai Primary School moved into a new building named Te Waka Ako that took 2 years to plan and 1 year to build. We were trying to write down what is good, bad, creative and how we feel about the new building.
I learnt that taking your shoes off isn't that big of a matter since it just makes the room cleaner. Te Waka Ako is an ILE, innovative learning environment. Here is a link. ILE.
Thank You for reading my work. Also here are some pictures ...

My Painting

We were inspired by Fatu Feu'u to make a painting with two different cultural patterns covering the artwork. We used paint and mixed primary colours to get secondary colours. Also we mixed primary colours with secondary colour to receive tertiary colours.

The work was hard, especially the corners of the artwork but really fun to use paint in our work. I liked my painting and also the way that the colours mix!
Comments are appreciated and welcome!

Caesar the ANZAC Dog

This is a real story about Caesar the ANZAC Dog. The story was about a bulldog that saved many lives in the past while in World War 1. Caesar was shot by a sniper in the distance. His handler, Tom later was gassed by mustard gas and was severely wounded and blind. He was sent back home on a hospital ship and married a nurse named Kath Butcher.

The work wasn't that hard to do because we read the book and we had a book in front of us. The book was amazing and interesting.

My Trench Diary

This is my Trench Diary, we had to write about what it must be like in the trenches in war. It was part of our work for ANZAC Day. Hope you like it!

WALT describe using our senses

It is awful, I can see bombs already dropping on our side of the battlefield! There are some people that are running out to No-Mans-Land already!

I can hear gunshots everywhere!
Also loud noises of bombs cover the area.
Free vector graphic: Mouth, Tongue, Teeth, Outline - Free Image on ...
I taste my own saliva while I fight with the british empire and try and defeat the Ottomans.

I smell stinky rats running around in the trenches stealing our rotten biscuits.
Free vector graphic: Hand, Open, Wave, Cartoon, Brown - Free Image ...
I feel the dirty mud under my feet slowly sinking into the ground with our food wrapped in mud.
Free illustration: Heart, Cartoon, Drawing, Mesh - Free Image on ...
I feel nervous and scared since the enemy keeps on shooting at us even at night time.
Thought, Bubble - Free images on Pixabay
I wonder when the war is going to end so I can go home?

It was harder than I thought it was going to be since I have never experienced a war in my life and I would never like to.
Feel free to comment on my work anytime.

My ANZAC Day Writing

A few days ago we wrote about ANZAC Day to remember the soldiers that fought in war. AND for the soldiers that lost their live for ours. Hope you enjoy looking at my work.

ANZAC Day

I thought the work was pretty easy because we just had to reflect on what we did on ANZAC Day.

My Blog Audience

In Cybersmart we looked at who is on our blog and seeing our things that we post on our blog. Also while we were in cybersmart we learnt something called a Digital Footprint and things that were left behind when we don't use them.

This piece of work was quite easy because there wasn't really anything new, it was all the things we knew about already.
