For maths yesterday, we got to build something. We used modelling clay and toothpicks to create a tent/some shelter. The problem was it started collapsing halfway through making it. I learnt that the more toothpicks you use, the more it collapses. It is so FRUSTRATING when the building collapses because you have to do most things again. As you can see in the photo, it started collapsing while I was taking the picture. I made only a few shapes like squares and triangles. I made the walls out of squares and the roof made of a triangle shape. Also the roof is kind of a rectangular shape. This is called a triangular prism.
Basically it means I really liked this lesson and liked the fact that it is also learning. This is based on geometry because of all the shapes and sizes you could do. I think this is very entertaining, fun and helpful. The good part was that it was very fun and really cool for a maths session.
