This is my Trench Diary, we had to write about what it must be like in the trenches in war. It was part of our work for ANZAC Day. Hope you like it!
WALT describe using our senses
It is awful, I can see bombs already dropping on our side of the battlefield! There are some people that are running out to No-Mans-Land already!

I can hear gunshots everywhere!
Also loud noises of bombs cover the area.

I taste my own saliva while I fight with the british empire and try and defeat the Ottomans.

I smell stinky rats running around in the trenches stealing our rotten biscuits.

I feel the dirty mud under my feet slowly sinking into the ground with our food wrapped in mud.

I feel nervous and scared since the enemy keeps on shooting at us even at night time.

I wonder when the war is going to end so I can go home?
|
It was harder than I thought it was going to be since I have never experienced a war in my life and I would never like to.
